The "Centro Juvenil" was founded in 1997 by an initiative of "LOS PIPITOS Estelí" with the collaboration of EIRENE, CBM and the co-financing of the European Union.
We assist both, male and female youths, with and without disabilities, longing for their integral development. Our emphasis is on socio-affective, educational, professional, economic, cultural and sports aspects, contributing this way to their full integration in the socio-professional life.
The youths' parents are an integral part of the activities of the "Centro Juvenil", and with its support they organize themselves to learn, share their experiences, to understand their individual problems and to look for alternatives and solutions together.
We count on experienced personnel and favorable conditions in seven workshops for the instruction of 60 youths using the method “learning by doing”, preparing them for their integration into the labor market.
Taking into account the institutional challenges, we make a significant contribution to our auto-sustainability, for example by commercializing the products elaborated by our youths, by offering Spanish courses for foreigners, catering services and through diverse rentals.
